About Us

 

Our mission is to commit to servicing the families, youth, seniors, and veterans of the community for the past 40 years. It will continue to be resourceful in providing the pertinent services to those in need.

First incorporated in 1977, Development Outreach Inc is a non-profit 501(C)(3) Corporation which provides affordable housing to low to moderate income individuals, families, seniors, and veterans. This company is a certified real estate brokerage firm experienced in developing as well as managing residential and commercial properties. Additional services also include accounting, tax preparation, after school programs. and veteran benefits that are readily available.

 

Through the Community Management Program (CMP), we were able to purchase many of these units and presently maintains them as privately owned rentals for low to moderate income families. We utilize, train, and employ qualified local residents as well as our tenants.

From 1987 to 1989, the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewals (DHCR) Urban Initiative Program and New York State Harlem Urban Development Corporation contributed combined over $150,000 to our rehabilitation projects.

From 1980 to 1991, we have also conducted a large rehabilitation project in Harlem.

We were able to: 

1.    Conduct a community housing needs assessment.
2.    Develop and implement a community revitalization plan.
3.    Coordinate service delivery to owners and tenants,
